We are in the process of rewriting our bylaws. We will be considering a fine structure for repeated violations of our Bylaws.

Ask yourself these questions, if any answer is no, then please work on fixing it.
- Is your yard mowed, edged, and flower beds clear of weeds?
- Is your driveway/front yard clear of boats, trailers, RV’s, BBQ pits, and children’s play equipment?
- Are your trash cans stored out of sight?
- Is there mold or mildew on your home?
- Is my fascia, roof, gutters, and paint in good repair?
- Wanting to paint or make changes to your home, have you sent your permission form to the HOA for approval?

Common Code Violations
How do you know if your neighbor or your property is in violation of City codes? Check out our Common Code Violations below.
What You Can Do
Help protect your community from these negative impacts by reporting any code violations in your neighborhoods and preserving property values. Dial 311 to report code violations if you are a League City resident. If you have any complaints or concerns please feel free to contact us. High or Overgrown Grass
If the grass or weeds have grown to exceed 12 inches in height, then it is a violation of city ordinance 54-33 (B) and/or (C).
Trash, Debris, & Rubbish
Piles of trash, rubbish, and other debris visible to the public is a violation of city ordinance.
Stagnant Water
Having swimming pools, spas, and hot tubs; holes or items that can retain water, which becomes stagnant is against city ordinance 54-31.
Building Without a Permit
Building a structure, a shed, a patio cover, redoing or repaving driveways, re-roofing a structure, demolishing a structure, and/or other alterations or construction without attaining a permit is a violation of city ordinance 22-31 and 22-6 R113.
Adding Fill Dirt
Adding fill dirt without an approved permit is a violation of city ordinance 22-2 and 43-161.
Parked Vehicles on Grass
Cars, boats, and/or recreational vehicles parked on the grass are a violation of city ordinance 125-170 (20).
Junk Vehicles & Junk Watercraft
If junked motor vehicles and junked watercraft are located in any area where they are visible from a public place or right-of-way and are detrimental to the safety and welfare of the general public, they are in violation of city ordinance 86 to 122. Let’s Fix That Light!
League City Public Works is assisting our local utility companies by providing a simple process for reporting streetlight outages.
Texas-New Mexico Power (TNMP) and CenterPoint fix hundreds of lights a year. In an effort to help streamline this process, we would like our residents to notify our Public Works Department of streetlight outages. Please read the simple step-by-step process below on how to report an outage and what happens next.
How to Report an Outage
Using the form below, here are the steps on how to report a streetlight outage to our Public Works Department as we assist our utility providers in locating areas that need repair.

Please enter your correct phone number for follow up on repairing the streetlight outage.

Please enter your email and verify it is correct so we can notify you with repair updates.

4. Tell us what is wrong with the light.
Select one of the options so we know more about the outage issue and what repairs are needed.

Giving us the location of the neighborhood helps us direct the utility company to the reported outage.

6. Provide the nearest cross streets and a detailed description of the outage location.
To help us identify the light faster, please give us the nearest corresponding cross streets and a detailed description of the location of the light post. Example: The light pole is located on the corner of Aspen and Oak Street across from the community pool.
NOTE* There can be delays in repairs if the location of the streetlight is nondescriptive. Please provide as much information as possible to help us locate and repair your streetlight.
